Born in Tacoma, Mrs. Mears lived in this area all her life. She was a graduate of Washington High School and a member of the Eastside Christian Church. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Lucille Mrs. Karl H. (Lucille Kaiser, 75, a former Tacoma resident, died Wednesday in Brinnon. She was born in Ohio came to Tacoma in 1948. She moved to Brinnon 10 years ago.
Mrs. Kaiser was a retired music teacher for the Tacoma and Fife W. Mears of Tacoma; three brothers, Donald E. of Hilo, Hawaii, Douglas C. of Artesia, and Dennis of Kent; two sisters, Dorene E.
of Tacoma, and Mrs. Michael (Denise) Blangy Seattle; and her grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Mears of Artesia, Calif. Dryer Mortuary is in charge. Kaiser school districts and was a church organist.
She was a member of the Tacoma Weavers Guild and Central Lutheran Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Kenneth H. of Seattle. Mountain View Funeral Home is in charge. Donna LaPlante Donna McNiven LaPlante, 59, of 917 E.
99th Tacoma, died Wednesday. Born on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana, she had resided in this area since 1922. Survivors include three sons, Ernest. Dennis and Grace Mrs. Grace Hughes Linggi, 74, of 13115 E.
died Wednesday. She was born in Oklahoma and had lived in Tacoma for the past 50 years. Mrs. Linggi was a restaurant cook. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Salvadoran priest slain SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) A Roman Catholic priest died in a hail of machinegun fire in a small town nine miles east of San Salvador right-wingers are suspected, Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero said. The archbishop said the Rev. Rafael Palacios was visiting a sister when he was shot Wednesday. The Okanogan County sheriff's office said Lawrence Fenstermaker and his wife, Mavis, were fishing from a small boat at the west end of the lake. Fenstermaker apparently was leaning out to net a fish when he lost his balance and fell into the water, sheriff's deputies said. His fall upset the boat, throwing his wife the water. A nearby fisherman pulled the couple from the water but then could not revive Fenstermaker, authorities said. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Jack Menlo Park, and William of Federal Way; a daughter, Mrs.
