If you’re looking for an absolutely delicious sweet treat to bake for Valentine’s day, look no further than this recipe for easy Valentine cookies.
This recipe has been in our family for decades! The reason I love it so much is that the basic recipe is very simple – mix, refrigerate, cut out, bake, and enjoy! However, you can take the cookies to the next level and get creative by decorating them as much or as little as you like.
As you can see, I simply decorated the cookies with colored sugar. You can either make your own using regular sugar and food coloring or purchase premade.
While I absolutely LOVE cookies that are all fancy and beautiful, decorating is just not my thing. I enjoy keeping things basic and enjoying the true flavor of the cookie rather than all the added icing and bling. Especially with this recipe…the cookies alone are simply delish!
